Job Description

Initial developer ask:

We are currently in the process of building out our own intranet, which will serve to connect our 50+ international staff across 4+ countries. We have identified an open-source, do it yourself platform to use called Papyrs ( and are currently searching for experienced Javascript developers to help us build out the intranet. 

Specifically, at this stage, we are looking for someone who can:
1. Review Papyrs to better understand how much customization is possible.

2. Evaluate specific customization options (will be provided upon contact) and tell us which are feasible

3. Estimate time required (hours)

4. Give us a quote for the labor (hourly)

Based on these findings, we are then planning to come to an agreement to contract the work to a developer. We are hoping to have all of this information collected by the end of next week (the week of December 16) so that we can make a decision before departing for the holidays. 

Ultimate developer responsibilities:

- Review business requirements with administering team member
- Produce a solid, detailed technical design
- Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements
- Work with the administering teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround

Your qualifications: 

- A work style that is extremely detail oriented 
- Strong communication skills
- A complete Elance profile
- References or an established reputation

Your location: 

- Nairobi, Kenya preferred; other locations are workable
