On August 26th, Intel will be holding an AppThwack
testing day at the iHub.Testing on Intel-based Android devices at AppThwack is open to all developers and is free of charge.Developers of the most improved app and developers with the most tested apps stand a chance to win devices and marketing incentives.
What is AppThwack ?
AppThwack lets you test your apps on hundreds of real, physical devices in minutes. The procedure is pretty simple:
- Upload your apk
- Run your test
- Get the report
This allows you to get a comprehensive report of your app on each of the target devices selected. As a developer you get to know how your app runs on an actual device without necessarily having the physical device. AppThwack shows you screenshots of how your activities looks like on real devices. This information can be used to adapt an app’s user interface to be compatible with the target devices. AppThwack tracks app performance over time and provides the developer with CPU, Memory, Threads and Frames draw time metrics.
More and more Android devices have Intel processors inside, and now, with AppThwack's partnership with Intel Software, you can access Intel-based Android devices to test your apps for free. In addition, you can find great tools, documentation, and support to write, port, or optimize your Android apps at the Intel Developer Zone
