LIONS OF SCIENCE 2014 AWARDS CYCLE
Lions of Science
is a German-Kenyan organization that aims to yearly award prizes to East African students for their creative and innovative projects.
The organization is designed to award projects that have an innovative, creative and practical approach which can ultimately enrich the society, improve social coexistence and contribute towards improving the standards of living in the respective communities, in Africa or internationally.
The annual awards aim at supporting students to unfold the potential of their proposed projects. This approach is aimed at closing the gap between the innovative project idea and entrepreneurship. The awards include prize money, professional consultations on further development of solutions as well as language courses and internships.
The award welcomes applications from enrolled college and university students who are invited to upload their project proposals to Lions of Science website
within the months of May, June and July 2014. This year’s competition is wider in scope as the participation includes various disciplines which are:
- Indigenous Knowledge
- Natural Sciences
Among other benefits, this year’s First Place Winner, First Runner Up and Second Runner Up will be awarded 2500 Euros, 1500 Euros and 1000 Euros respectively. This is an effort to support further development of the selected projects. We encourage early submission of projects through our website.
