(Tuesday 12th November) The skills that matter:
iHub Consult in partnership with the Africa Management Initiative held a workshop aimed at helping entrepreneurs & managers with various business skills such as time management and setting goals. The course featured insightful video content and valuable assistance from facilitators who helped the participants apply the lessons to their own businesses.
(13th - 15th November) Enhancing design thinking:
The iHub UX lab in conjunction with Microsoft held a 3 day human centric design workshop. Designers were taken through the process of approaching design with the consumer in mind. The workshop was structured to help them attain these skills and continue on to share their knowledge with others.
(Thursday 14th November) Wisdom around the fireside:
The iHub hosteda fireside chat with Machel Waikenda which focused on youth empowerment. He gave interesting insights into the Government's 30% procurement mandate that caters for youth, women and people living with disabilities.
(Friday 16th November) Putting the Live in Livewire:
The iHub Livewire concert went down and what a party it was. The community came together to celebrate all things music and by the end of the night we were all on all our feet dancing to tunes from the ages.
(Saturday November 16th) A gathering of like minds:
This month's Blackberry meetup at the iHub featured a great opportunity for new beginners to the platform as there was a training session. Participants were also updated on the current status of the Blackberry company. In attendance were also students from the Kenyatta University who were invited after an engaging talk at their campus 2 weeks ago.
(Saturday November 16th) Thinking outside the proverbial box:
The second of workshop of the Intel Ideation campwas all about innovation. Participants learnt how to develop ideas while thinking out of the box.
