The Kilimani Project
had a Kilimani Safety
event this past Saturday (19th Oct) where the issue of security was raised. This is something that the iHub community has been affected by, and it is a prevalent problem, not just in Kilimani but across Nairobi. The Kilimani Community, which the iHub is essentially part of, has been engaging the Police Service in this, with numerous complaints and possible measures floated.
Towards this, on 26th Oct, for the first time, the divisional headquarters of Kilimani Police is opening to the public for an afternoon of dialogue, games and entertainment. Attached is the planned schedule of events, which start at 1300 hrs with a procession from the Hurlingham Masjid Rahma Mosque along Argwings Kodhek Road to the Kilimani Police Division HQ.
We are part of the Kilimani community and safety and security concern us all. Feel free to attend the event. If you would like to voice any concerns and are not able to, please send a tweet to @kilimanispeaks, an email to kilimaniproject (at) gmail.com, or let us know. The hashtag for the events are #OpenDaySat26 and #kilimanisafety.
