DRUM ROLL PLEASE…
Guest Post By Betty Mutimba
Startup Grind Nairobi is at it again! This time around we break away from the norm and dive into our creative side.
Meet Muthoni Ndonga, songwriter-flow-poet by night (The DrummerQueen) and creative-social entrepreneur by day (#BaussLady). Founder and CEO of Blankets & Wine – East Africa’s premiere musice experience – Muthoni has managed to make a (very successful) business out of what she loves. Blankets & Wine is a monthly picnic-style family friendly music festival showcasing emerging genres of Urban-African music spotting acts like Mi Casa, Liquideep and our homegrown Sauti Sol.
On Thursday, July 10 2014 we have the privilege of hosting Muthoni for an entire evening at the Nairobi Startup Garage. What fascinates us most about her (almost to the point of envy) is the fact that she has successfully built a business around the thing she loves most, which is music. Join us for an intriguing discussion about passion, (not just passion) but passion coupled with a brutally brilliant and resilient business mind. What does it take to build a business in the Kenyan entertainment ecosystem? Even more pressing, what does it take to build and maintain a completely unique brand that sells not just locally, but Africa wide? Man, cannot wait to pick her brain!
Caught your attention as well? Then GRAB YOUR TICKET already!!!
Look forward to seeing you there
