Entrepreneurship Lecture by Dr Bitange Ndemo – Saturday 17th May

Daktari has been writing a series of thought provoking articles in the Daily Nation. Following his latest post, he offered to do his bit in alleviating poverty and growing small businesses, by inspiring and developing aspiring entrepreneurs. This Saturday morning from 10-12pm, he will be conducting a lecture on entrepreneurship at the iHub’s community space at the 4th floor of Bishop Magua Centre.

Over the last four years, the iHub has acted as the community connector, bring together diverse people, disciplines and organisations, with the aim of catalysing the growth of the technology ecosystem. This inaugural entrepreneurship lecture, is however open to all aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those that got in touch with Dr Ndemo when he made the offer in his article.

Dr Bitange Ndemo joined the iHub’s Advisory Board early this year.

Josiah Mugambi has had several years’ experience in ICT, including software solutions development and networking, and spent nine years working in the telecommunications space with NSN and Huawei. Josiah is one of the co-founders of Skunkworks, an informal gathering of Kenyan technology enthusiasts, have participated in organizing numerous meetings and talks bringing together mostly software & web developers, designers, engineers and bloggers to share their knowledge and network. Kenya’s first BarCamp was a result of this networking, and has been regularly held since then. One of the main aims behind the forming of this group is networking of common techies with the aim of spurring innovation amongst them. Additionally, Josiah has been involved in several startups.   He sat on the Board of Advisors at the Nairobi iHub from its inception before taking over as Executive Director from Erik Hersman in Sept 2013. He is also an iHub Trustee.

    I believe this is the best way to handle poverty . more so inspire youth. I didnt make it to ihub but believe those who attended are changed generation.
