Ushahidi 3

(Wednesday 6th November) A glimpse into V3.x: After several months of tinkering it was now time to showcase the new Ushahidi v3.x open source web application. Ushahidi Devs were at the iHub to conduct a live demonstration of this new product plus brainstorm with the community on how to get involved in the development process leading up to a full release.

 

Livewire practice

(Wednesday 6th November) Pitch perfect: The guitars are being tuned, songs are being perfected and the band is hard at work all in readiness for the iHub Livewire concert going down on the 15th of November.

 

Nrbuzz

(Thusrday 7th November) Lessons from Kigali: This months Nairobi Research Buzz featured a talk from iHub Research Outreach Coordinator  James Ndiga who along  with other Kenyan entrepreneurs had traveled to Kigali to attend the Transform Africa Summit 2013,and gave the community some insights into the conference. It was an interesting round table discussion that brought up interesting comparisons between the Rwandan and Kenyan government in terms of supporting their tech sectors.

 

UX ideation

(Saturday 9th November)The hacker, the hustler & the artist: The first weekend session of the Intel Ideation Camp in collaboration with the UX Lab got of to a great start with entrepreneurs being taken through the steps for building successful teams. The Ideation camp is taking place over the next 4 consecutive Saturdays from 9-1PM.
