The Intel Gaming Challenge | Saturday 12th October 2013 | 9 am – 10 pm | iHub

Due to the unfortunate Westgate attack, please note that this event has been postponed from the 28th of September to the 12th of October.

Nairobi gamers, come join us on Saturday 12th October from 9 am – 10  pm at the iHub as Intel launches the Intel Gaming Challenge.

The Intel Gaming Challenge is Kenya’s premiere Gaming tournament.  With multiple game divisions to compete in, unique prize packages up for grabs, and a dedicated community of so many gamers behind it, it is something you need to be a part of. Whether you’re a casual or hardcore gamer, Intel Gaming Challenge offers a variety of gameplay options for your thumbs, on a variety of Intel Architecture devices.

Hardcore gamers will compete in teams of 5, playing The League of Legends™ online game. If you’re interested in participating, put together your team and register here. Prizes up for grabs include 5 Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 10.1-inch for the winning team and 5 Asus Fonepad* Tablets for the runners up team. Please ensure that you read the competition rules before signing up.

letiIf you’re not a hardcore gamer, don’t worry – there’s still lots to see and do. We’ll have a gaming zone set up that even the most amateur of players can have fun with. We’ll also feature local games from Intel Software Partners Leti Games and Ma3 Racer as well as a special celebrity challenge on these fantastic Kenyan games.

In addition, if you’re a developer and interested in learning how to create amazing multiplayer games on Android, you’re in luck.  Have you previously developed in Java or C++?  We are looking for 50 lucky developers who will earn a slot to participate in Project Anarchy, a training program that teaches you how to utilise Havoc Gaming Engine to create the next big game on Android, Tizen or IOS. Come show us your skills, and earn an opportunity to be part of our fully sponsored training program.

Join us on Saturday 12th October to be a part of this experience. More information here.
