6 – 7:30: Design thinking crash course by Stanford Faculty members Jeremy Weinstein (Political Science) and Jenny Stefanotti (Hasso Plattner School of Design, aka the d.school)
7:30 – 8:30: Talk and Q&A with Silicon Valley entrepreneur Max Ventilla on human centered design in the startup world
This Thursday we’re offering a crash course on the human centered approach to product design, led by Stanford faculty Jeremy Weinstein (Political Science) and Jenny Stefanotti (Design School). Participants will learn about the human centered design process as it’s taught at Stanford — by doing it themselves.
Following the crash course, we’re hosting Google Head of Personalization and serial entrepreneur Max Ventilla. Max will share his experience applying human centered design to his startup Aardvark, a social search engine acquired by Google in 2010. He has also utilized the design process in his recent work at Google as one of the founding product managers on Google+ and in his current role as the product lead for cross-Google personalization. In addition, Max is a strong advocate for user research and rapid prototyping in his work with startups as an angel investor and advisor.
This is open to the community.
