I agree with that Micheal, at the moment, only #140Friday is being used as a channel to push these ideas. Perhaps the community should come together and form a strong group that can lobby for some of these things.

We should not take ourselves for granted Soren good work has been done to create a good environment. We however need to create a truly free labor and capital industry Rwanda is doing just that . Tech is not local industry and theology has to see it that way . Create an international environment and free movement of labour and capital across the industry and we will see growth

"So, tax incentives do not help – and it is not what we should be focusing on either – it is the administrative burdens that come along with taxes. .... Spending 393 hours a year compiling and paying tax returns".

Exactly - there are so many many ways that doing business in Kenya could be make more simple. Mainly by enhancing service levels enabling simpler/easier ways of being compliant - at the same time this would also reduce overhead in administrating all these rules and all in all lead to a win win scenario for both goverment and businesses.

At Uhasibu / KenyaManual we have many concrete suggestions as to what could change to make things more efficient (it's what we do), only question is what fourm/channel is the right for pushing these ideas so that they would actually come to function and not just end up being wasted time/effort ?
