Orange Social Venture Prize Info Session | Recap

Ms Angela Ng’ang’a-Mumo, Telkom Kenya’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, on Tuesday August 21, 2012 made a presentation about the 2012 Orange Africa Social Venture Prize from 5.30pm to 7 pm at the iHub to IT innovators.
The presentation, targeted at ICT innovators and tech-preneurs drawn from within and outside iHub, was meant to create awareness about and encourage the innovators to submit entries for the 2012 Social Venture Prize.
Orange is looking for simple solutions for Africa, targeted at the bottom of the pyramid, that can be supported by ICT. Any entrepreneur or legal entity that has been in existence for less than 3 years at the time of the competition may participate. According to Ms Ng’ang’a-Mumo, Orange is willing to put in some support if the top 5 projects come from Kenya.
The competition is open until 30th September 2012. Information on how to apply can be found here.
