In the opening session one of the keynote speakers made mention of how HOPEFULLY, this paradigm will shift more towards seeing the poor as producers too (both in design and supply) and not just consumers. The implications of this can be very significant (just think of why UX design in general is important, and how much more significant it becomes when designing for development) and I hope perhaps this will feature in the research too.
