On Saturday the 18th of September 2010 the fantabulous TEDxNairobi team (shown below) organised the 2nd TEDxNairobi event at the Louis Leakey Auditorium. The theme for this year was Green City in the Sun which and indeed in all its splendour it was a truly remarkable event.

The TEDxNairobi team assembled of line up of incredible speakers such as Dr. Ceasar Mwangi, Dr. James Nyoro, Julie Gichuru, Dr. Laila Macharia, among others… Here are some memorable qoutes from some of the speakers:

“We need to use ICT as an enabler of development, not just as a service.” Dr. James Nyoro

Was a Great Event!
My recommendation for the next round would be to have a ‘mini Expo’ say from 10.00 – 13.00 on the material day. People could hire small desks to showcase their ideas. There are just too many ‘GREEN ideas’ out here, you will be shocked.
Good Job!
