I wonder if there are any hacks that can put a set of simple/integrated tools on a USB stick to be given to local FM stations in disaster areas to help them collate and share info with public that doesn't have web/mobile access. My problem is that I see great ideas as separate apps, but nothing that can installed quickly alongside an emergency studio. Rumours kill and FM radio is part of the solution. In Haiti, some stations started putting on special shortwave transmissions which I think is a waste of time (people are not in the habit of listening to shortwave). But they are interested in health and welfare via FM.
